And the major issue is: _INFRASTRUCTURE_ Recently, 30 African leaders launched "Mission 300" in Tanzania to provide electricity to 300 million people by 2030. Currently, nearly 600 million of Africa's 1.5 billion people lack electricity (83% of the global deficit). Only 1 in 5 in Sub-Saharan Africa have power, due to the postcolonial high demand on ageing, poorly maintained infrastructure, which was originally designed to cater to the interests of white people; and an over-reliance on coal. Despite Africa's abundant renewable energy potential, insufficient investment and integration challenges persist. Therefore, the African Development Bank and the World Bank pledged $48 billion for renewable energy projects, with additional investments from the Rockefeller Foundation, Denmark, the UK, Spain, and Japan. #pushafrican#africanpower #africansolutions #panafricanism #mud
