𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 Ṣ𝐚𝐥𝐚‌𝐭 𝐮𝐩𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐭 ﷺ Shaykh Muḥammad bin Ghālib al-‘Umarī [حفظه الله] wrote: “Sending ṣalāt¹ upon the Prophet ﷺ is a cause for clearing sorrow and removing distress. It is a sign of love, a mark of guidance, and a beautiful act of following his example. Stingy is the one who does not send ṣalāt upon him, and deprived is the one who fails to actualise it in their remembrance. He ﷺ said: ‘𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 Ṣ𝗮𝗹𝗮‌𝘁 𝘂𝗽𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗵𝗼𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 Ṣ𝗮𝗹𝗮‌𝘁 𝘂𝗽𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗲, 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗮‌𝗵 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗲𝗻 Ṣ𝗮𝗹𝗮‌𝘁𝘀 𝘂𝗽𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗶𝗺.’ O Allāh, send Salām and Ṣalāt upon our Prophet Muḥammad, and upon his family and companions in their entirety.” Source: https://ume.la/rJ2TrY ___ ¹ The Ṣalāt of Allāh upon His Prophet ﷺ is explained as being Allāh’s Praise of the Prophet ﷺ to the Angels.
