The School of Engineering at Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) achieved credible and special mentions from the jury on drone design, first rank in system design and 15th place in the global rankings at the International Space Drone Challenge, organised by the Space Robotics Society at BITS Pilani, Goa Campus. CUSAT is the first team from Kerala to reach the final round of this prestigious international space robotics competition. The mission was guided by Dr. Binu Paul with 25 students from various engineering branches of the School of Engineering.
