Hamas Halts Israeli Prisoner Exchange Over Israeli Breaches of Agreement Abu Obeida, spokesperson for the Hamas Jihadist Movement, announced the suspension of the Israeli prisoner exchange, citing repeated violations of the agreement by the Israeli occupation. The next round of prisoner exchanges, originally set for this Saturday, has been postponed indefinitely. Abu Obeida stated that Hamas has been closely monitoring Israel's breaches of the agreement over the past three weeks. These violations include delaying and obstructing the return of displaced individuals to northern Gaza, conducting airstrikes and shelling across the Gaza Strip, and failing to allow adequate humanitarian aid as stipulated in the agreement. He emphasized that, in contrast, Hamas and other resistance groups have fully adhered to their commitments under the agreement. Hamas has called on Israel to fulfill its promises and address the grievances of the Palestinian people over recent weeks, warning that failure to do so will result in further delays to the prisoner exchange. Hamas reiterated its commitment to implementing the agreement but stressed that this is contingent on Israel upholding its end of the deal. The group expressed confidence in its adherence to the terms while accusing Israel of a long history of breaking agreements and violating treaties, with the recent Gaza agreement being a prime example.
