Karim Khan, IEA Leader Arrest Advocate, Now Faces Sanctions
According to a Reuters report, sanctions have been levied by the White House on Karim Khan, a prosecutor at the International Criminal Court. This action marks the first time an individual has been sanctioned by US President Donald Trump.
Karim Khan, a British national of Pakistani descent, has been subjected to economic and travel restrictions by the White House.
The reason behind the US administration's discontent with Karim Khan stems from recent events. The ICC prosecutor had previously advocated for the apprehension of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and the Israeli Defense Minister, prompting Donald Trump to implement sanctions in retaliation.
It is important to mention that just a few days ago, Karim Khan urged the International Criminal Court to detain the Commander of the Faithful and the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Afghanistan.
