IEA Announces Senior Government Appointments The spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate, Mawlawi Zabihullah Mujahid, announced that the government has made new senior appointments under the directive of the Islamic Emirate's leadership. Zabihullah Mujahid posted on his X-Files page that as part of these appointments, Dr. Lutfullah Khairkhwa, who previously served as Deputy Minister of Higher Education, has been designated as the Supervisory Director of Da Afghanistan Bank. Furthermore, Sheikh Zia-ur-Rahman Aryoubi, the former Deputy Minister of Planning and Policy at the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, has been appointed as the new Deputy Minister of Higher Education. Mawlawii Obaidullah Aminzada, the former Governor of Takhar, has been appointed as the Deputy Minister of Social Affairs at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. Additionally, Mawlswi Samiullah Hizbullah, who previously served as the Police Chief of Kandahar, has been appointed as the new Governor of Takhar. Moreover, Sheikh Abdul Rahman Qanet, the former Director of Supervision at Da Afghanistan Bank, has been named as the Deputy Minister of Planning and Policy at the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum. Lastly, Maulvi Abdul Ahad Talib, the former Governor of Helmand, has been appointed as the new Chief of Police for Kandahar Province.
