Around 150 Afghan Refugees Released from Pakistani Prisons
The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation Affairs announced through two separate press releases that 147 Afghan refugees, who had been detained in Pakistani prisons, have returned to Afghanistan after being released over the past three days.
According to the ministry, 84 of the repatriated refugees arrived in their homeland on Monday, while the remaining 63 returned on Wednesday.
Sources indicated that these individuals, who were imprisoned in Pakistan due to lacking legal documentation, were freed and repatriated to Afghanistan with the assistance of the Islamic Emirate.
This development coincides with the Islamic Emirate's ongoing initiatives to address the challenges faced by Afghan refugees abroad and to tackle the root causes of migration within the country.
