Illusion Regarding Gaza, and Historical Facts
Throughout history, dictators around the world have sought to alter the destinies of nations through agreements, contracts, and covert schemes. However, historical evidence demonstrates that no nation has ever been bartered in the marketplace of political deals.
Most recently, U.S. President Donald Trump made an audacious claim that he aims to assert American ownership over Gaza. His strategy involves persuading Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and other nations to displace Palestinians from their lands and relocate them elsewhere.
This fallacious assertion by Trump is a perilous element of the enduring agenda of Zionist occupation, aimed at eradicating the Palestinian identity and dismantling the bastions of resistance. Trump, driven by his business-oriented mindset, perceives everything as negotiable. Nonetheless, Palestine embodies a historical reality, a religious commitment, and an unyielding spirit of resistance that cannot be commodified in such transactions.
A closer examination of historical occurrences reveals that the Palestinian predicament predates the 1948 occupation. It has been a focal point of clandestine agreements and plots. The Balfour Declaration, the Sykes-Picot Agreement, and the intrigues of certain Arab leaders serve as poignant examples. Nevertheless, after every attempt to broker deals regarding Palestine, its people have emerged stronger, their resistance has swelled, and their struggle against occupation has intensified.
Should Trump endeavor to advance this agenda, he will encounter staunch opposition not only from Palestinians but also from the Islamic world and freedom-loving nations.
The Israeli occupiers' objective is to dismantle Hamas; however, paradoxically, Hamas' resilience has debilitated Israel, engendered internal political tumult, and exposed it globally as an occupying force.
Gaza stands as the bastion of the entire Islamic community, safeguarded by unwavering faith. Despite Hamas appearing outgunned by Israel in terms of weaponry, the true metric of warfare lies in the potency of resistance, not the arsenal. Hamas' military spokesperson, Abu Ubaydah, recently underscored their reliance on faith and popular backing over armaments.
The unity of Islamic nations, the chants for Palestinian liberation, and the fractures within Israeli politics all signify the failure of the occupiers.
While Trump seeks to rally support from Saudi Arabia and Egypt for his scheme, these nations have unequivocally rebuffed it. Saudi Arabia has long advocated for a Palestinian state along the 1967 borders, aligning with other Arab nations in asserting that Palestine is not up for sale.
The Egyptian government has explicitly cautioned Trump that any attempt to displace Gaza's inhabitants will precipitate a regional crisis.
Trump, accustomed to the realms of power, wealth, and transactions, envisions treating Gaza as a business transaction. However, this notion is fallacious and unrealistic.
Nations are not commodities for contractual dealings, and Palestine transcends mere economic considerations that can be haggled between elites.
Throughout history, every oppressor who sought to obliterate national identities or engage in negotiations with them has met with resounding defeat. The Vietnam War remains a historical blot on America, while the last two decades of the Afghan conflict epitomize its defeat.
No matter Trump's efforts, Gaza cannot be reduced to a tradable commodity. This illusory plan lacks feasibility, lacks international backing, and is untenable to Palestinians.
Gaza embodies a fortress of resistance and a living chronicle of sacrifice and struggle—fundamental truths that will forever vex occupiers.
The path of Hamas's resistance will persist until freedom and sovereignty are achieved, for history has demonstrated that a nation's true resolve can humiliate and discredit oppressors.
