Projects worth over $1.5 billion implemented in the country
Officials from Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat have reported that the company successfully executed projects amounting to $1.5 billion and $600,000 across various regions of the country over the past five months.
Dr. Abdul Bari Omar, the CEO of DABS company, disclosed in a press briefing that within this timeframe, they have entered into 206 contracts valued at 3.5 billion Afghanis.
Abdul Bari Omar mentioned that the World Bank will recommence and finalize the remaining tasks for the CASA 1000 extensive regional projects within a two-year period.
Mr. Omar also highlighted the swift progress in the construction of the 500 kV line from Uzbekistan, which is designed to carry 1,000 megawatts of electricity. He expressed the company's commitment to completing this project by the end of 1404.
Furthermore, he announced the successful completion of the assessment and evaluation of 14 investment ventures aimed at establishing power plants with a combined capacity of approximately 505 megawatts.
During the conference, electricity company officials disclosed that they have accumulated a total revenue of 31 billion and 531 million Afghanis from electricity sales in the current fiscal year.
