Recent rains and natural disasters leave 76 dead or injured The Director of Information and Public Relations at the National Disaster Management Authority, Mawlawi Abdullah Jan Sayeq, reported that recent rainfall and natural calamities in several provinces have resulted in the deaths of 36 individuals and injuries to 40 others in the country.  In a video message distributed to the media, he informed that rescue teams from the agency have been dispatched to the regions affected by floods to assist the victims.  Furthermore, he disclosed that 240 houses have been completely demolished, 61 others have been partially damaged by these natural disasters, and extensive agricultural land has been ruined.  He mentioned ongoing efforts to clear roads blocked by recent snowfall and outlined plans to introduce preventive measures and public awareness campaigns in the coming year to safeguard citizens from similar disasters.
