Under the initiative "Jeevachi Mumbai, Shramachi Anandwari" by the Rasikashraya Foundation, 20 domestic workers from Ghatanji, Yavatmal district, were given the opportunity to meet Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at Sahyadri Guest House. Many women had tears of joy in their eyes during this meeting.
"Managing a family on ₹500 was a struggle, but the 'Ladki Bahin Yojana' has given us great support," an elderly woman expressed emotionally.
During the conversation, the Chief Minister assured the women, "The Ladki Bahin Yojana will never be discontinued. In fact, we are considering how to extend even more support to you."
For these women, the meeting was not just about discussing government schemes but was also an unforgettable experience. One woman shared her excitement, saying, "We had never even seen an airplane before, but now we got to travel in one."
Additionally, the women requested the Chief Minister that the ₹10,000 honorarium they receive should be given every year. Responding positively, the Chief Minister assured them, "We will definitely consider this demand."
