There will be an Anti-violence Walk through Bridgetown involving primary school students in The City, dubbed SOS - Save Our Sons, starting at 9:00 a.m., today, Friday, February 7. It is scheduled to begin at Kensington Mall and travel along Fontabelle, Cheapside, Chapel Street, Lower Broad Street, Upper Broad Street, Trafalgar Street, Bridge Street, and end at Probyn Street by Freedom Park. The participating schools are St. Mary's Primary, Westbury Primary, St. Ambrose Primary, and Wesley Hall Junior. Through the walk, the participants will demonstrate their opposition to the use of violence, particularly firearm related violence, which has robbed them of male members of their families, in particular. It also seeks to encourage participants not to become perpetrators or victims of such violence.
