The difference between Peter and Judas lies in their responses to their failures. Both sinned against Jesus, but their reactions led to very different outcomes.
💥 *Judas Iscariot* betrayed Jesus for thirty pieces of silver (Matthew 26:14-16). When he saw that Jesus was condemned, he felt *remorse* and returned the money to the chief priests, saying, “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood” (Matthew 27:3-5). However, instead of turning to God for forgiveness, he succumbed to despair and took his own life. His remorse was sorrow without repentance; it led to death rather than restoration.
💥 *Peter*, on the other hand, denied Jesus three times (Luke 22:54-62). When Jesus looked at him, Peter remembered His words and went out and wept bitterly. Unlike Judas, Peter’s sorrow led to true repentance. After the resurrection, Jesus restored him (John 21:15-19), demonstrating that repentance brings redemption and renewed purpose.
Key Difference:
💥 *Judas was remorseful* but did not REPENT; Unlike PETER.
