08 February 2025 The way to Erase Your Karmic Debt Bhagavad Gita IX-28, Lord Krishna reveals the ultimate benefit of Karma Yoga: “Thus shall you be freed from the bonds of good and bad results, and with your mind steadfast in renunciation, you shall be liberated and come to Me.” Swami Paramarthananda explains that when actions are surrendered to Ishvara, karma loses its binding power. Normally, every action produces punya or papa, keeping us stuck in the cycle of birth and death. But when actions are done without personal attachment, their results no longer bind the doer. Instead, the mind becomes detached to outcomes, preparing it for Self-knowledge. What Must You Do for Moksha? Surrender all actions to Ishvara. Accept every result as divine will. Free yourself from craving rewards or fearing consequences. With a purified mind, embrace renunciation - in spirit, and ultimately, realize your true Self—beyond all karma, beyond all bondage, free forever!
