Abu Anas Kishko: Creating Joy from Nothing "I lived through hunger, loss, and fear... my only concern was keeping my children safe and happy, no matter what." - Abu Anas Kishko Abu Anas was displaced from the Zeitoun neighborhood to the south at the beginning of the war, lost family members and lived through hunger and fear. He found any job to be able to provide for his children. Upon returning from the south, he found his home partially destroyed, with no water, electricity, or basic means. Despite this, Abu Anas - as always- was determined to create moments of joy for children. Ramadan was an opportunity to bring happiness back to them no matter the hardships. "I wanted the children to feel that Ramadan had arrived, even if everything was lacking." He collected empty food cans, which had become the staple for many in the war, and made Ramadan lanterns, lighting them with candles for the children. He wanted to show that Palestinian children, too, deserve to live like other children around the world. أبو أنس كشكو: خلق الفرح من لا شيء "عشت الجوع والفقد والخوف... كان همي الوحيد الحفاظ على سلامة أطفالي وسعادتهم مهما كانت الظروف" - أبو أنس كشكو نزح أبو أنس من حي الزيتون إلى الجنوب في بداية الحرب، وفقد أفراد عائلته وعاش الجوع والخوف. وجد أي عمل ليتمكن من توفير احتياجات أطفاله. وعند عودته من الجنوب، وجد منزله مدمرًا جزئيًا، ولا يوجد به ماء أو كهرباء أو وسائل أساسية. ورغم ذلك، كان أبو أنس -كما هي عادته- عازمًا على خلق لحظات من الفرح للأطفال. كان رمضان فرصة لإعادة السعادة إليهم مهما كانت الصعوبات.
