On February 5, 2025, the university's administration, led by Vice Chancellor Rev. Fr. Assoc. Prof. Miximiano Ngabirano, welcomed officials from the National Council for Higher Education(NCHE) to showcase its dedication to advancing agricultural education and the fields of Medical records and Health Informatics. The visit commenced with engaging discussions in a board room, followed by a tour of the proposed Faculty of Agriculture building and the 15 acres of land located in Kitumba, designated for hands-on learning experiences for agriculture students. During this tour, the officials observed students actively participating in practical projects such as a Rabbitory, piggery, and vegetable gardens, which underscored the university's commitment to experiential learning and sustainable practices.
Afterward, the delegation visited Our Lady of Good Health Rushoroza Hospital, where students specializing in Medical records and Health Informatics were undertaking their internships.
The officials acknowledged the importance of practical training in this field as the students shared their firsthand experiences and insights regarding medical record keeping.
