In other words, metadata is a description of the characteristics, attributes, and relationships of a particular piece of data, such as: 1. *Title*: Name or title of the data 2. *Description*: Brief summary of the data 3. *Author*: Creator or owner of the data 4. *Date created*: Timestamp when the data was created 5. *Format*: File type or data structure 6. *Size*: File size or data volume 7. *Other Attributes*: Depending on the domain of the data
