*Nyango Gyang Boyi Becomes First Nigerian to Finish 2025 Access Bank Lagos City Marathon* The 2025 Access Bank Lagos City Marathon witnessed an outstanding performance from Nigerian long-distance runner Nyango Gyang Boyi, who emerged as the first Nigerian to cross the finish line. Boyi completed the 42km race in 2 hours, 25 minutes, and 41.58 seconds, securing the 8th position overall among top international athletes. His remarkable achievement earned him a ₦2 million prize as the top Nigerian finisher, along with an additional $4,000 for securing 8th place in the general rankings. The Lagos City Marathon, renowned for its high level of competition, featured thousands of elite runners from across the world. The top three overall finishers were international athletes, with Kenya’s Edwin Kibet Koech claiming the grand prize of $50,000.
