Data from actor Gene Hackman's pacemaker shows he was most likely dead for nine days, before he and his wife were found dead at their New Mexico home, authorities investigating said. The pacemaker shows Hackman's "last event" being recorded on February 17, Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza said, at a news conference on Friday. The couple's bodies were found Wednesday afternoon in separate rooms at their New Mexico home. There were no immediate signs of carbon monoxide or natural gas leaks and both bodies tested negative for carbon monoxide. Authorities are unable at this time to determine if they died at the same time. Investigation continuing into the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
