The suitable candidate’s main responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Threat and Risk assessment
- Client liaison and professional client relationship
- Manpower Management
- Equipment Management
- Effectively dealing with and managing client complaints
- Ensure that contractual requirements are met at all times
- Incident and investigation management
- Ensure compliance to the Company’s disciplinary code
- Initiating disciplinary hearings
- Health & Safety and uniform management
- Ensuring Security Officers problems that are reported are solved
- Ensure that all company SOPs are followed
- Ensure BPC policies and procedures are followed at all times
- After hour visits and standby duties
- Liaison with local SAPS and Justice departments
Preferred qualifications/attributes/skills:
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- Relevant experience as an administrator
- Must be willing to undergo polygraph test
- Sound communication skills (verbal and in writing)
- Bilingual (English and any other South African language)
- Good interpersonal and strong leadership skills
- Excellent client liaison and administration skills
- Good telephone etiquette
- Previous experience in a similar position will be advantageous
- MS Office proficiency (excellent knowledge of Excel and Word)
- Clean disciplinary, criminal and credit record
- Have experience in the mining industry/underground illegal mining operations
- Certificate for regulation 21 shooting
- Experience in investigation will be advantageous
- Must have knowledge of criminal investigation/statements/SAPS dockets
- Own transport and accommodation
- Experience in the following fields would be an advantage
- Minimum of 5 years Gold Mine experience
- Underground experience
- Investigations experience
- Must be able to perform tasks underground
- Must be underground fit
- Must have accredited Firearm Training Certificates for handgun, shotgun, rifle
- Be in possession of a Valid SAPS Firearm Competency Certificate for handgun, shotgun, rifle
- Be in possession of business purposes Firearm Certificates for handgun, shotgun, rifle
- Must have knowledge of the Criminal Procedure Act 51/1977 as well as Firearms Control Act 60/2000
