Job Title: Solar Panel Designer

Industry: Renewable Energy / Solar Job Summary: The Solar Panel Designer is responsible for designing solar PV systems, conducting site assessments, and creating detailed layouts, electrical schematics, and system specifications. They work closely with engineers, installers, and clients to ensure the efficiency and feasibility of solar installations. Key Responsibilities: * Design solar PV systems for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. * Conduct site assessments and analyze energy consumption to determine system requirements. * Create solar panel layouts, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams using CAD or solar design software (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD). * Select appropriate solar panels, inverters, mounting structures, and BOS components based on project needs. * Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, building regulations, and safety standards. * Work with sales and installation teams to develop cost-effective solutions. * Perform energy yield simulations and provide system performance reports. * Collaborate with clients to explain designs and technical details. * Stay updated on the latest advancements in solar technology and regulations. Qualifications & Skills: * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field. * Experience in solar PV system design (4+ years preferred). * Proficiency in solar design software (e.g., PVsyst, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Helioscope). * Knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations (IEC, NEC, etc.). * Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
