We are currently seeking an experienced and proactive Company Advocate to join our legal team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the company’s legal interests are effectively represented and protected in all areas of business operations. Job Overview: As a Company Advocate, you will provide legal counsel and support to the organization in various legal matters. You will be responsible for ensuring the company complies with legal regulations, drafting legal documents, managing disputes, and advising on corporate governance issues. The role demands an individual with strong legal expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Key Responsibilities: 1.Provide legal advice and guidance to senior management on corporate matters, contracts, and regulations. 2.Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents. 3.Represent the company in legal proceedings, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation. 4.Ensure compliance with local, national, and international laws and regulations. 5.Manage legal disputes and claims, collaborating with external legal counsel when necessary. 6.Advise on corporate governance and risk management practices. 7.Stay updated on legal developments and provide strategic legal insights to the organization. 8.Support other departments in understanding and applying legal policies and procedures. 9.Handle intellectual property, employment law, and regulatory matters as required. 10.Maintain a record of legal documentation and monitor company compliance with applicable laws. Skills and Qualifications: . A Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.), with a valid legal license to practice. . Minimum of 3 years of experience as a corporate lawyer or company advocate. . Strong knowledge of labour law,corporate law, contract law, intellectual property, and dispute resolution. . Proven experience in negotiating and drafting contracts and legal documents. . Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. . Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple legal matters simultaneously. . High level of integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality. . Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. . Experience in corporate governance and risk management is a plus.
