Several units decided to take an unplanned "vacation," leading to a 3,864 MW generation loss. Meanwhile, at Majuba and Medupi, more units followed suit, with 7,506 MW already out for maintenance, Eskom had to crank things up to Stage 6 to replenish emergency reserves and (hopefully) prepare for a more stable week ahead.
