I happened to watch Arun Shourie's interview with Vir Singhvi on The Print channel reg the former's book on Savarkar - The New Icon. Like he defamed and shamed Ambedkar in 'Worshipping False Gods', looks like Shourie has done to Savarkar this time. Shourie was my icon in the late 90s and early 2000s. I have read almost all his books. Though aged, his intellect is still alive and active so much so that he has produced such a voluminous book. I would be reading it. Would recommend all discerning readers to do so especially to get his pov on Savarkar's meeting with Netaji, Savarkar funding the 'Agrani' magazine that Godse edited and the like. Unless we read the other side, we would not know the truth. As Atalji used to say ( Shourie quotes him ), 'response to a book would be a better book'.
