Had to go to a sub-registrar office in the outskirts of Chennai. The crowds were unruly. There was no crowd regulation. Toilets were unkempt. Chairs were inadequate. No drinking water facilities. Place was swarming with touts and brokers. Even the sub-registrar was mobbed by the crowd. While it is an injustice to the tax-paying and patient citizens to have to undergo this ordeal, that the govt staff there have to undergo this every day is unbelievable. Such is the situation in a so-called progressive state of TN. Imagine the plight of citizens in the under developed states. We Indians deserve better.
