Urgent Vacancy - Accountant Location - Lagos Salary - (150k- 170k) net *Responsibilities and Duties* i. Implementing and maintaining effective financial controls. ii. Managing financial records and transactions. iii. Reviewing receivables and payables reports promptly, ensuring alignment with payments. iv. Updating the Fixed Asset Schedule and calculating monthly depreciation. v. Conducting monthly stock audits with the storekeeper, generating inventory reports, and signing off on Bin Cards. vi. Vetting and reconciling daily cash remittances with sales remittances. vii. Evaluating and reconciling after-market purchases. viii. Preparing and maintaining bank reconciliation statements. ix. Ensuring daily bank lodgments of cash. x. Facilitating cash float withdrawals from the bank as needed. xi. Monitoring the preparation and remittance of statutory deductions (PAYE, VAT) to avoid penalties. xii. Analyzing the weekly gross profit (GP%) of product SKUs. xiii. Reviewing weekly market purchases and evaluating price trends. xiv. Generating and analyzing stock variance reports. xv. Reviewing and approving weekly shopping requests before purchases are made. xvi. Preparing management and financial reports for the company. xvii.
