Integrated Municipal Infrastructure Directorate is hosting its quarterly meetings that are focused on monitoring and discussing the progress of municipal infrastructure projects. These meetings involve stakeholders from various municipalities, provincial departments, and national government agencies. Todays the meeting is held in Moses Kotane Lm and the focus will be on Bojanala local municipalities and District Municipality. Objectives of these quarterly meetings include,tracking the progress of municipal infrastructure projects, identifying challenges, and finding solutions, reviewing expenditure reports, ensuring compliance with funding regulations and addressing any financial concerns as well as fostering collaboration and communication among stakeholders. The MIG aims to eradicate municipal infrastructure backlogs in poor communities to ensure the provision of basic services such as water, sanitation, roads and community lighting. The department is responsible for managing and transferring the MIG and provides support to provinces and municipalities on implementing MIG projects.
