Sometimes, this one-sided self-perception causes us to be unwittingly unperceptive of our own faults and flaws. Worse still, we proceed to impose our misguided sense of self-righteousness onto others. We belong to God. Only God can judge with absolute righteousness. So, through His word and Spirit, God graciously reminds us of the peace we are to keep between ourselves and those around us, and how we should live out His command to love our neighbours as we do ourselves.
