💥 *The Renewed Hope Global Town Hall Virtual Conference* 💥 *We Appreciate You All* Your much-loved weekly virtual conference recorded yet another huge success yesterday against all odds. A technical issue occurred at the beginning of the conference. However, with persistence and adaptability, our special guest remained until our technical team resolved the problem and facilitated his entry into the conference. Our special guest, *Dr. Idi Mukhtar Maiha,* the Honourable Minister of Livestock Development, remained patient and determined to engage with Nigerians globally until the technical issue was resolved. This demonstrates his commitment to communication and the engagement approach of the cabinet members of this administration, which the discerned minds amongst Nigerians have come to recognise and appreciate. The conference, which exceeded the originally allotted two-hour slot, showcased the Honourable Pioneer Minister at his best. His sterling performance supports *President Tinubu’s* reputation as an astute and exceptional head-hunter. During the conference, our special guest clarified that the livestock and husbandry business is accessible to all Nigerians, not just a specific region. He also explained the rationale behind the establishment of the Ministry of Livestock Development on July 9th, 2024. Many participants AND viewers acknowledged the clarity provided during the conference. The Honourable Minister highlighted key achievements of the new Ministry, including adding N33 trillion to the economy, reforming pastoralism by improving grazing reserve infrastructure, and revitalising 13 private abattoirs to enhance their operability and hygiene as well as encouraging private ranchers for grazing. He delved into *President Tinubu's* recent trip to Brazil, during which he secured a $2 billion investment from the Batista Brothers to enhance Nigeria’s livestock industry. This investment aims to boost livestock weight, increase animal feed production, and resolve farmer-herder disputes. He added that more foreign investors are coming, and many state governors are lining up to tap into the potential and opportunities that abound in the livestock industry. He disclosed to the conference that in 2022, Nigeria imported N800 billion worth of honey and $1.5 billion in dairy products. He revealed that to start a honey business in Nigeria does not require huge capital and advised that to advance the livestock industry, Nigerians need to set aside emotions and remove stigmas associated with livestock issues. The Honourable Minister stated that the Livestock Ministry is a futuristic initiative and that Nigerians must be educated that livestock goes beyond cattle and beyond a section or region of the country. It cuts across the whole nation. Another scenario of planning meeting opportunities for which the weekly Parley is renowned occurred again yesterday when a participant from Abuja, *Dr. Emeka Okengwu* who learnt about the conference from a friend who insisted he must join, admitted that he was “almost shaking” whilst engaging with our special guest about his proposal, after which he got an invitation to visit the Minister in Abuja for further discussion on it. Another highlight of the conference is yet another surprise attendance by VVIPs who came to show their solidarity for our special guest and to support the organisers of the weekly Parley. The list reads like the “Who is who” in the rung of leadership in the country from *Dr. Mustapha Adbullahi,* DG/CEO of the Energy Commission of Nigeria; *Hon. Femi Odere,* Special Adviser to the Senate President; our Grand Patron, *Chief Babatunde Ogala SAN,* Senior Legal Counsel to PBAT; *Dr. Isaac Adewole,* former Minister of Health; *Dr. Jumoke Oduwole,* Honourable Minister of Trade and Investment; *H. E. Femi Hamzat,* Lagos State Deputy Governor, and many others. *Chief Babatunde Ogala* and *Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi,* who spoke at the conference, commended the Honourable Minister for his outstanding contributions to the Ministry of Livestock Development. They encouraged him to maintain his positive trajectory and pledged their continued support. The team behind *The Renewed Hope Global Virtual Town Hall Conference* extends its gratitude for the support and encouragement from all our VVIPs, who frequently honour us with their presence each week. The innovative reforms being implemented by the government, though causing temporary hardship, are considered necessary for the country's progress. The nation is approaching its goals more closely than ever before. Our focus should be on the four Ps: Patience, Perseverance, Patriotism, and Prayers for our leaders. All indices from the policies of this administration indicate that the country is on a positive path toward improvement. In the coming days, we will be publishing details regarding our VVIP for next week.
