Let us learn something today👇🏾: We have “window period” which simply means the time from which you acquire the virus to the time it can be detected on a test. This time normally takes about 3 months. The reason your Doctors have always encouraged you to re-test after 3months whenever you go for HIV testing. This means that, if I acquired a virus within a month time, week time, few days back and I get tested, the test will show NEGATIVE. 🔴However, I will be able to infect others because I have the virus in me (and it’s very active) regardless of the negative test.
