*⚠️ Do not single out the night of mid-Sha’bān for worship, and do not spread messages requesting forgiveness.* Several hadiths mention that Allah looks at His creation on the night of mid-Sha’bān and forgives everyone except a polytheist or one who harbors hatred. These hadiths are debated among scholars of hadith, with some being authentic and others weak. Neither the Prophet ﷺ nor his noble companions singled out this night for special prayers, as noted by the scholar Ibn Rajab. Therefore, it is incorrect to dedicate this night to prayer or any other acts of worship. Likewise, requesting forgiveness by spreading messages on WhatsApp and other platforms is not appropriate.
