*L Reuteri* ——- Lactobacillus reuteri - or L Reuteri in short is touted by health experts as the most important microbe for the immune system and longevity, increasing muscle mass and even stamina. It’s mostly found in probiotics, or foods containing beneficial bacteria. We all know that fermented foods are probiotic-rich. The following are good sources: - Yogurt: Especially unsweetened yogurt, which is the true health yoghurt. - Kefir: A fermented milk drink rich in probiotics. - Sauerkraut: Fermented cabbage. - Sourdough bread: Contains naturally occurring L. reuteri during fermentation. - Kimchi: A Korean fermented dish with cabbage and spices. - Pickled cucumbers/Pickles. - Fermented tofu. - Salmon and other cold-water fish: Contain natural bacteria like L. Reuteri, contributing to gut health benefits when consumed regularly. - Sweet potatoes and beans: These plant-based foods are sources of L. reuteri as well, though less commonly associated with it compared to fermented products.
