SSS COUNCIL UPDATE 03.02.25 As per the academic branch circular (Order No. 12/2025) dated 03.02.25, it has been officially notified that Kaushal Kumar Sharma, Dean of SSS, has been additionally appointed as the new Chairperson of CSRD by the Vice-Chancellor, replacing the outgoing Chairperson, S. Sreekesh. From posing unnecessary hurdles in fellowship approvals, to not granting mess rebates, there have been longstanding concerns regarding the autocratic approach adopted by Sreekesh during his tenure. The SSS Council and the SFCs of the centre have repeatedly raised these issues with the chairperson and the Council has also engaged with the Dean, urging his due intervention. While we acknowledge the removal of the chairperson, we remain cautious, given that the newly appointed chairperson has previously shown little to no willingness to address students' concerns in the centre. Instead, he has often questioned their sincerity and sanctity of the demands. In light of this transition, the Council strongly urges that the persistent issues stemming from the previous chairperson, be addressed by the Dean without further delay.
