*The Following Resolutions have been passed in UGBM dated 28 February 2025 on the Agenda of JNUSU election 2024-25* 1. The students' body condemns the ploy by the JNU Vice-Chancellor and the Dean of Students to stall the JNUSU Election. Proposer: Avijit Seconder: Gaurav Passed 2. The student body condemns the recent attempts by the ABVP to bypass the JNUSU Constitution and call for an unconstitutional "UGBM", thereby diluting the letter and spirit of the JNUSU Constitution and the mandate of the students of JNU. Proposer: Nitish Seconder: Sajid Passed. 3. The JNUSU will fight for an immediate release of notification for the start of the process of election to the JNUSU. Proposer: Gopika Seconder: Ritika Passed. 4. The JNUSU will fight for upholding the independent Election Committee. No intervention in the election process on part of JNU Administration is welcome. Proposer: Sajid Seconder: Avijit Passed. 5. The students' body resolves that there should be no violence, before, during or after the JNUSU Election. Proposer: Raushan Kumar Seconder: Shafiq Passed. 6. The JNUSU Elections should be conducted by an elected student Election Committee free from interference by the Administration. The University General Body also condemns the unwarranted interference from the part of administration through the office of GRC in the JNUSU Elections 2023-24 and resolves to fight tooth and nail all tactics of interference by the JNU Administration through the office of GRC and other means in JNUSU Elections.
