This could result in hefty penalties amounting to lakhs of rupees, which you may have to pay. 2. **Immediately check your 12A and 80G certificates.** If in *Serial Number 8*, the "To" field mentions AY 2024-25, your certificate has already expired. If it mentions AY 2025-2026, it will expire on **31st March 2025**. If you do not apply for a permanent certificate before 31st March, your income and expenses from the date of registration until 31st March 2025 will become taxable, and you will be liable to pay income tax and penalties. Therefore, prioritize checking your certificates and apply for permanent 12A and 80G certificates as soon as possible. 3. **As per the new Income Tax advisory**, you must apply for permanent 12A and 80G certificates within 6 months of obtaining the provisional certificates.
