Chronic migraine is a neurological disease that causes frequent, severe headaches and affects approximately 80 million people worldwide.
Compared with less frequent migraine headaches (episodic migraines), chronic migraine causes longer and more severe headaches, more disability and missed work, more use of health care, and lower quality of life.
