Join Our Team as a "TECHNICAL OFFICER" Location: Nairobi Key Responsibilities Conducting trials with raw materials, ensuring quality and suitability for brewing. Providing technical support and troubleshooting for brewing-related issues, enhancing customer satisfaction and product success. Ensuring raw materials meet set standards, maintaining product quality. Coordinating with procurement and finance to optimize workflow, for example, with new orders. New product development, contributing to the growth and innovation in our company Contacting customers to understand their needs and plan trials. Following up on orders after successful trials, driving sales. Reviewing system performance and advising on improvements, increasing efficiency. Preparing technical reports, documenting findings and progress. Training staff on safety and technical updates, ensuring compliance and knowledge. Conducting stock takes, contributing to accurate inventory management. Collaborating with different teams for operational excellence, such as new product Qualifications Bachelor/ Diploma in Science degree in Brewing Science, Food Science, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering. Certifications from the IBD and Food Safety or Quality Management Certifications: HACCP, ISO 22000 are preferred. Experience working with locally sourced ingredients could be beneficial depending on the brewery, previous experience working in a brewery is highly valuable. Familiarity with brewery equipment, including brewhouses, fermenters, filtration systems, and packaging lines, as well as basic maintenance and troubleshooting.  A thorough understanding of cleaning and sanitation procedures in a food production environment.  Experience in Quality Control or Laboratory Roles: Experience in a brewery quality control lab can be particularly relevant. Familiarity with local regulations and standards related to food and beverage production and alcohol manufacturing might be advantageous.
