*AP High Court's sensational verdict on college student attendance..* Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh High Court has given an important verdict on student attendance. It has ruled that students who are unable to attend classes due to illness have the right to write the exam. There is an important reason for the AP High Court to give such a verdict. That is.. A student named BVK Kaushik, who is studying BTech at GMR Institute of Technology in Rajam, Vizianagaram district, fell ill last year. *The attendance percentage is low…* He could not attend classes for a few days due to health problems. The college management did not allow him to take the third semester exam due to the low attendance percentage. In this situation, the student approached the AP High Court. He requested the court to at least give him the opportunity to attend the fourth semester classes. The High Court, which took up the matter, gave a verdict in favor of the student. The judge opined that Kaushik did not attend classes due to illness, and this was a situation beyond the student's control. *This rule is incorrect..* The court clarified that it is not a proper policy to deny eligibility for exams based solely on attendance percentage. It also stated that this attendance rule imposed by a private college, unlike the government rule, is unreasonable. Therefore, in addition to the order to allow Kaushik to write the exams, it directed the college principal to also allow him to attend subsequent classes.
