-Major Causative Factors:
-Excessive intake of madhura, guru, abhishyandi, kapha-prakopaka ahara
-Ajirna (indigestion)
-Mala sanchaya (accumulation of waste)
-Alpa vyayama (lack of exercise)
-Diwasvapna (day sleeping)
-Poor hygiene

🔺PURVAROOPAM (Premonitory Symptoms)
-Mandagni (poor digestion)
-Tandra (drowsiness)
-Gaurava (heaviness of the body)
-Aruchi (anorexia)
-Udarashula (abdominal pain)
-Kandu (itching around anus)
-sita kama (craving for cold things)
-sunya hridayata (emptiness in chest/heart region)

🔺LAKSHANA (Symptoms)
-Krimi Roga is broadly of 2 types:
-Bahya Krimi Present in eyes, ears, nose, skin
-Abhyantara Krimi (Internal): Especially in GI tract
-Abhyantara Krimi (Main focus):
-Purisaja Krimi (intestinal worms)
-Udarasula (colicky pain)
-Ghrana daurgandhya (foul breath)
-Kasa (cough), svasa (dyspnea)
-Jvara (fever), chardi (vomiting)
-Antra kudila sabda (bowel sounds)
-Aruchi, vibandha, dāha
-Raktaja Krimi
-Kandu, Daha, Raga, Puya srava (skin lesions with pus)
-Associated with Kushṭha roga and skin disorders
🔺GENERAL EXAMINATION (AYURVEDIC & MODERN)
📌 Patient History
-Poor hygiene
-Improperly cooked or contaminated food
-Close contact with infected persons or animals
-Habit of playing barefoot in contaminated soil (in children)
📌Physical Examination
-Pallor (anemia)
-Emaciation (in chronic cases)
-Skin rashes or eczema
-Distended abdomen
-Itching around the anus or skin folds
🔺 LABORATORY INVESTIGATIONS
📌Stool Examination
Microscopy for ova, cysts, larvae, or parasites
*Occult blood test (if amoebic dysentery is suspected)
*Concentration techniques (e.g., floatation/sedimentation) to improve sensitivity
📌Complete Blood Count (CBC)
*Eosinophilia (elevated eosinophils suggest parasitic infestation)
*Anemia (especially with hookworm)
📌 Serological Tests
*ELISA or other antibody tests for Giardia, Entamoeba histolytica, Toxoplasma, etc.
📌Imaging (if required)
*Ultrasound/CT in hydatid disease (Echinococcus)
*X-ray or CT scan for cysticercosis (Taenia solium)
