🔺 MUKHADOOSHIKA (ACNE VULGARIS)
🔺 DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS
*Rosacea
*Folliculitis

🔺 SAMPRAPTI (PATHOGENESIS)
-Dosha: Predominantly Kapha, Vata, and Rakta
-Dushya: Rakta, Mamsa, Medas
Srotas: Raktavaha and Mamsavaha srotas
-Due to nidana, Kapha blocks the srotas, Vata pushes the vitiated Rakta and Meda into the facial area.
-This leads to formation of granthis (pustules/papules).
🔺UPASHAYA (ALLEVIATING FACTORS)
-Intake of Tikta, Kashaya rasa (bitter, astringent) foods
-Mild virechana (purgation)
-Use of lepa (herbal pastes) with cooling and detoxifying herbs
-Light, dry, and non-greasy diet
-Proper facial hygiene

-Oily, spicy, fried foods
-Milk products (especially curd, cheese, ghee)
-Stress, late nights, and sleep deprivation
-Excessive use of cosmetics or chemical-based skin products
-Scratching or popping pimples

📌 Shodhana (Purification):
-Virechana (purgation) with mild herbs like Trivrit, Aragvadha
-Raktamokshana (bloodletting) – especially if pustular acne is dominant
-Nasya Karma (medication through nostrils) in chronic cases

-Gandhaka Rasayana – reduces inflammation and infection
-Arogya Vardhini Vati – for liver and blood purification
-External Applications (Lepa / Face Packs):
-Multani Mitti + Neem + Turmeric
-Khadira Churna + Haridra + Chandana past
-Lodhra, Manjishtha, Vacha paste
📌 Dietary and Lifestyle:
-Avoid milk products, oily food, and sweets
-Include green leafy vegetables, bitter gourd, turmeric
-Daily facial wash with neem decoction or triphala water
