04 June 2025 In verses 20–24of the XIII chapter, Lord Krishna reveals the timeless duality of Purusha and Prakriti, the pillars of all existence. Purusha is the Aatma—the changeless, conscious witness (chaithanya thathvam)—untouched by creation yet empowering it. Prakriti is the womb of the cosmos—the dynamic, creative force that manifests all forms and actions. In Advaita Vedanta, Brahman is nirgunam (attributeless), but when associated with maayaa, it becomes saguna Brahman—the manifest Lord (Isvara). Isvara, through maayaa sakthi, projects the universe.
