SURVEY PROJECT AT ULUGURU NATURE CONSERVATION Date: 8 June 2025 Location: KIGURUNYEMBE/ KILAKALA Participants: GCF Member & Local Mjumbe SHORT REPORT: As part of Green Canopy Friends’ (GCF) mission to restore ecosystems and protect community health, our team visited the local area to engage with residents and collect environmental and social data. The session involved a focused discussion with a community representative (Mjumbe), highlighting issues such as climate change impact, deforestation, Fire outbreaks, and sustainable practices all with community engagement Objectives: - To know how awareness raised on environmental restoration - Collect local data for future project planning - Strengthen collaboration between GCF and community leaders Our observed outcomes: - Community willingness to engage in tree planting and conservation - Identification of key environmental challenges in the area surrounding the forest To conclude that,It is was our very important step toward climate action
