Some people are filled with jealousy & hate. They spend their days spying on others, always searching for faults—just to accuse, slander, and bring people down. Wallāhul Musta‘ān They never think well of others. They don’t step forward to advise or uplift; their only goal is to blame, attack, and spread lies. “He’s this, she’s that” — their tongues never rest, and their eyes only seek flaws. They look at people not with mercy or concern, but with hatred — always ready to strike. May Allah سبحانه و تعالى purify our hearts and protect us from becoming or being harmed by such people. ““O you who believe! Avoid much suspicions, indeed some suspicions are sins. And spy not, neither backbite one another. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would hate it (so hate backbiting). And fear Allah. Verily, Allah is the One Who accepts repentance, Most Merciful.” (Surah Al-Hujurat 49:12)
