The session began with a warm welcome by Prof. Dr. Hamid Saeed, Director of the PU Alumni Office, followed by insightful remarks from Prof. Dr. Atif Raza, Principal of the College of Pharmacy. In his talk, Dr. Asim comprehensively outlined the regulatory approval process governed by the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP). He highlighted DRAP’s progress in aligning with international standards, as well as the challenges faced by the local pharmaceutical sector. Furthermore, he shared an in-depth analysis of current pharmaceutical manufacturing trends in Pakistan, the status of exports, the economic burden on the industry, and offered strategic recommendations by comparing regional and global best practices. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Sameen Zaki, acknowledging the speaker's valuable insights and the active participation of attendees.
