When life tried to break her, she turned it into fuel — because giving up was never an option.
Meet 17-year-old Ishika Bala from Chhattisgarh’s Kanker district, who not only defeated blood cancer but also emerged as the state topper in the Class 10 exams with a stunning 99.17%!
Diagnosed with cancer in November 2023 while preparing for her board exams, Ishika couldn’t sit for the exams that year. But her willpower and determination were unmatched. She fought cancer for 2 years, never losing sight of her dreams.
"I didn’t give up, even when I thought I wouldn’t be able to study. Confidence in myself kept me going," she told PTI.
She dreams of becoming an IAS officer and inspire others with her story of resilience.
Ishika’s journey proves that with unwavering courage, perseverance, and belief in yourself, the impossible becomes possible.
