EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY QUALITY AND PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT (R&D) OFFICER Grobbie Best Foods Pvt Ltd, a fast-growing and innovative food manufacturing company based in Harare, Zimbabwe, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality and Product Development (R&D) Officer to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and results-oriented professional to lead quality assurance initiatives and drive new product innovations in our snacks and milling product lines. Key Responsibilities • Oversee the quality control and assurance systems across production processes for both corn snacks and milling products. • Conduct regular quality audits, sampling, inspections, and reporting in line with regulatory and internal quality standards. • Lead the Research & Development (R&D) function, driving the creation, testing, and optimization of new snack product formulations and improvements to existing lines. • Collaborate with the production and procurement teams to ensure raw material and finished product specifications are met consistently. • Develop SOPs and maintain updated product specifications, ensuring alignment with customer and regulatory requirements. • Conduct shelf-life studies, sensory evaluations, and packaging validation for new and existing products. Qualifications and Experience • A degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Applied Chemistry, or a related field. • A minimum of 5 years' experience in quality assurance and product development within the corn snacks and grain milling industry. • Hands-on experience with extruders, frying and seasoning equipment, and laboratory testing procedures. • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
