At least 2 staff members of the Israeli Embassy were shot dead near the Jewish Museum in #washingtondc last evening (May 21). Metropolitan police department said that a suspect is in custody. A man and a woman were shot and killed in the area of 3rd and F streets in Northwest, near the Jewish Museum. US President #donaldtrump, while condemning the attack, blamed anti-semitism for the the shootout. Trump, in a Truth Social Post said, “These horrible DC killings, based obviously on antisemitism, must end, NOW! Hatred and Radicalism have no place in the USA. Condolences to the families of the victims.” Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, called the killing a “depraved act of anti-Semitic terrorism.”
