𝐒𝐈𝐑 𝐖𝐈𝐂𝐊𝐍𝐄𝐋𝐋 𝐆𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐒 $𝟏 𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐓𝐎 𝐙𝐂𝐂: 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐘 𝐁𝐔𝐈𝐋𝐃𝐒 𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐒𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐋𝐒 Sir Wicknell Chivayo recently handed over his US$1 million cash donation to Zion Christian Church (ZCC), bringing his cash gift to the church to US$2 million within a year. ZCC secretary general Elder Newton Nyama wrote to Sir Wicknell, thanking him for the cash, which the church received on 26 May, 2025. Elder Nyama said the money was being used to build mission schools under the church's Schools 24 Programme in Beitbridge, Beatrice, Rutenga, and Harare. He said last year's US$1 donation kick-started the projects, and this latest gift would ensure projects completion. Elder Nyama said the donation will also finance construction of other schools in parishes across the country. The donations, Elder Nyama said, will immortalise Sir Wicknell's generosity for generations to come. He said the ZCC church family was greatly indebted to Chivayo, and felt oblidged to update him on the project progress. "May God abundantly bless you and family for your generosity and kindness," said Elder Nyama. Sir Wicknell recently gave ZCC leader Bishop Nehemiah Mutendi a Mercedes Benz Maybach to replace a Range Rover Autobiography which was damaged in an accident. Chivayo had bought the Range Rover for Bishop Mutendi.
