*Family’s Painful Journey Highlights Repatriation Crisis Among Zimbabweans Abroad* *By Hon. Bekezela Maplanka* Whenever a Zimbabwean in Diaspora is sick and admitted to a foreign hospital.His/her family members plead with the hospital authorities to discharge him/her so that they can be quickly rushed to Zim before they die. They do so not because they don't care about their loved ones but because it is very expensive for them to repatriate a deceased body in case the unfortunate event happens. One of Bulilima woman in Botswana lost her child and she decided not to report the incident to anyone because she was scared since she was an illegal immigrant. She decided to carry her deceased child on her back from Botswana to Bulilima walking. She took a huge risk by illegaly crossing the boarder at night alone.Yesterday a man from Ward 1 Bulilima, died in a Taxi after Crossing Beitbridge border. The relatives had earlier requested him to be discharged from Edenvale Hospital still in a frail condition. When a caring government takes over such painful events will never happen. *Knowledge Is Power That Is Best Shared.
