Click here 📍What is SDN1? ✅SDN1 is a type of site-directed mutagenesis, a technique that uses a nuclease enzyme (like CRISPR-Cas9, although not all SDN1 uses CRISPR-Cas9) to create precise breaks in the DNA at a targeted location. ✅Unlike conventional genetic modification where foreign DNA is introduced, SDN1 relies on the cell's natural repair mechanisms to fix these breaks, leading to a mutation at the targeted site without external DNA. ✅The mutant created from SDN1 method are free from any foreign DNA, hence they are exempted from biosafety regulations. #gs3 #science_technology
